Marvellous stuff! So much to think about. I'd certainly like to know about (and see) the generation of white South Africans who left with Apartheid for new lives. My uncle Brian went to South Africa not long after WWII, married an Irish girl, had three kids and lived the high life until the early 70s when they came to the UK as South Africa started falling apart. The three children had to adjust to living with black servants (which they always considered to be normal) to life in the UK. Interestingly, the kids never settled. One now lives in the USA, one is a hugely successful television cameraman and travels most of the time, and the last is currently in Taiwan. I'm looking forward to seeing this progress.
Thank you very much for your comments and your support! The only problem so far is that I am going to stay with my girlfriend´s family so I might have a conflict of interest´s situation.Anyway as Susan Meiselas said: The ethos of objectivity is an illusion."
A pleasure as always. Shame you deleted that other comment. He was fun.
Raphael, I don't seem to have your email??? Can you contact me please as I have sent an email to everyone except you on a course issue. Cheers,Mark
